The goal of the program is to provide Virginia Tech students with an exceptional opportunity to enrich their college experience by studying a foreign language and civilization while being immersed in Russian culture in the European Union.
This is an immersive language and cultural program. Classes on all levels will be conducted at the Daugavpils University in Daugavpils, Latvia. Daugavpils University has a thriving Russian language program and is located in a Russian-speaking city. Students will attend classes for 4-5 hours each day and will also be able to receive individual help from a tutor. Class instruction will be supplemented by co-curricular activities.

Students will live with Russian-speaking host families.
