Summer Tuition Correction and Clarification: May 19, 2017
The Office of Summer and Winter Sessions would like to issue a clarification regarding the 2017 summer sessions tuition. The recent advertised 10 percent tuition discount applies only to Blacksburg campus undergraduate students. Our office regrets any confusion caused.
For cost of attendance and instructions for paying, visit the Virginia Tech Bursar.
Virginia Tech students may apply for financial aid for Summer Session. Summer aid is typically limited to loans: Stafford, Parent PLUS, Graduate PLUS, and Private/Alternative.
Students who desire financial aid for the Summer Session I 2017 or Summer Session II 2017, must submit the 2016 - 2017 FAFSA. Students may submit the 2016-2017 throughout the 2016-2017 school year. For more information, visit the FAFSA website.
Withdrawing from Summer Session
Failure to attend or begin an online class does not result in automatic cancellation. In addition, non-payment should not be used as a means for dropping a course or cancelling registration. Students are ultimately responsible for officially dropping a course, cancelling registration, or withdrawing by the posted deadlines to avoid academic and/or financial consequences. Contact the Office of Summer and Winter Sessions for withdrawal instructions.
