On-campus: Prefer to stay in Blacksburg? Summer Sessions has you covered.  (Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 all course offerings may be delivered 100% online.)

Blended: Just as they sound, these classes are a combination of online and in-person elements. (Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 all course offerings may be delivered 100% online.)

Abroad: We know you are a jet setter, so check out the international and domestic trips.

Credit Hours

Students may enroll in a maximum of 18 credit hours during the summer term. Students must request permission from an associate dean to enroll in credit hours beyond this limit.

Waitlist

In the Time Table of Classes there will be a comment if the class accepts waitlist requests. Email summer@vt.edu with your request. If a seat becomes available, we will register you and send you a registration confirmation email.

Resignation/Withdrawal

Students desiring to withdraw their enrollment from one of the parts of term must complete and submit a resignation/withdrawal form.  Students are encouraged to consult with University Scholarships and Financial Aid about the potential impact (if any) that resignation/withdrawal may have on student aid.

Course Cancellation

The university reserves the right to cancel courses or sections for which there is insufficient enrollment.
